For those of you who consign but are not able to volunteer during the sale there is another option. If you would like to help out in other ways and earn a Volunteer Pre-Sale Pass, "bartering" is for you! Our workload is huge and that's where you come in. If you are willing to share your time, talent, and skills, we will give you a volunteer pass to come shop early at the pre-sale before the doors open to the public.
Bartering is on a first come, first serve basis and we will begin sign-ups on Monday, February 11th at 8 a.m.
We spend many hours at the sale and sometimes it is hard to get away for meals. If you are willing to provide a meal - either pick up something from a drive-thru, provide gift certificates to nearby eating establishments or pay $10 cash - this will earn you a Volunteer Pre-Sale Pass. Contact us to choose the day and the meal you will be providing (must be enough to feed at least two people, cash or a gift certificate in the amount of $10.) We will need meals for Thursday-Saturday.
With our many hours at the sale and volunteers helping, we are in need of bottled water. Provide two cases of 24 bottles of water and you will receive a pass to shop the pre-sale!!
We have signs that need to be distributed throughout the city to advertise the sale. You will be responsible for picking up the signs at our sale location, distributing them to assigned locations and returning them to us at check-out. In order to qualify for a shop early pass you will need to distribute a minimum of 5 signs. Contact us about specific locations. (Remember to pick-up the signs at the end of the sale so shoppers don't get confused!)
We need single page flyers distributed to schools, day cares, churches, doctor's offices, dance/gymnastic studios, etc. You will need to distribute flyers to a minimum of ten locations. Flyers need to be distributed one to two weeks prior to the sale. You will need to contact us to determine the locations and we will decide which locations you need to distribute flyers so that we do not duplicate our efforts. You may download a copy of our single page flyer (attached below) or we will provide you with a master copy of the flyer. You will be responsible for contacting the location for approval to distribute flyers, get a number count of flyers needed, make the needed copies, and distribute them to the appropriate locations. We will have a limited number of slots available for this bartering service. Slots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning Monday, February 11th at 8:00 a.m.

If you or someone you know has contacts to provide The Kansas Kids Closet Consignment Sale publicity during the sale (TV, radio, newspaper, or magazine) this will earn you a Volunteer Pre-Sale pass.
